Alexandra Friesen (Winnipeg, MB) run at the 2017 Larry Jones Junior Classic came to an end in the semifinals with a 7-2 loss to Rebecca Lamb (Stonewall, MB).
 
Friesen finished 3-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Friesen defeated Kathryn Cullen (Beausejour, MB) 8-3, then won 3-2 against Katy Lukowich (Winnipeg, MB). Friesen went on to lose 6-4 against Meghan Walter (Winnipeg, MB). Friesen responded with a 4-2 win over Serena Gray-Withers (Springfield, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
