Walter finished 3-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Walter defeated Kathryn Cullen (Beausejour, MB) 7-1, then won 6-4 against Serena Gray-Withers (Springfield, MB) and 6-4 against Alexandra Friesen (Winnipeg, MB). Walter went on to lose 7-2 against Katy Lukowich (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
