Rebecca Lamb (Stonewall, MB) won 6-2 over Kathryn Cullen (Beausejour, MB) in the Final of the Deer Lodge Icebreaker, held September 28 - October 1, 2017 at the Deer Lodge Curling Club in Winnipeg, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Lamb won 8-2 over Paige Watkins (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2017 Deer Lodge Icebreaker in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada;
 
Lamb finished 2-2 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Lamb defeated Cheyenne Ehnes (Manitou, MB) 8-4, then went on to lose 6-2 against Katy Lukowich (Winnipeg, MB). Lamb lost 4-3 to Shae Bevan (Winnipeg, MB) where Lamb responded with a 8-2 win over Brooke Friesen (Winkler, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Deer Lodge Icebreaker Championship title, Lamb earned 0.000 world rankings points along with the $500CDN first prize cheque. For week 8 of the event schedule, Lamb did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Lamb ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
