Brooke Friesen (Winkler, MB) needed a tiebreaker to advance to the playoffs, Friesen finished 2-2 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Friesen defeated Katy Lukowich (Winnipeg, MB) 10-6, then went on to lose 4-2 against Shae Bevan (Winnipeg, MB). Friesen responded with a 8-2 win over Cheyenne Ehnes (Manitou, MB). Friesen went on to lose 8-2 against Rebecca Lamb (Stonewall, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

. For week 8 of the event schedule, Friesen did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Friesen ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
