To advance to the championship game, Bergman won 6-5 over Meghan Walter (Winnipeg, MB) in the semifinals of the 2017 MJCT Tour Championships in Morris, Manitoba, Canada;
 
Bergman finished 3-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Bergman lost 6-2 to Zacharias, then responded with a 5-4 win over Rebecca Lamb (Stonewall, MB). Bergman won 6-3 against Paige Watkins (Winnipeg, MB), then won 5-4 against Kathryn Cullen (Beausejour, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
