Heggestad finished 3-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Heggestad defeated Tim Belcourt (Elmvale, ON) 7-2, then won 6-2 against Corbeil and 7-5 against Brandon Tippin (Owen Sound, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
