Jean-Sebastien Roy (Chicoutimi, QC) won 7-2 over Steeve Gagnon (Montreal, QC) in the Final of the Experience Curling Classic, held November 8 - 12, 2017 at the Baie d'Urfé Curling Club in Baie d'Urfé, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Roy won 8-4 over Michael Fournier (Montreal, QC) in the semifinals of the 2017 Experience Curling Classic in Baie d'Urfé, Quebec, Canada; and won 7-1 over Benoit Vezeau (Montreal, QC) in the quarterfinals. of the 2017 Experience Curling Classic in Baie d'Urfé, Quebec, Canada;
 
Roy finished 2-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Roy lost 7-2 to Alek Bedard (Montreal, QC), then responded with a 10-3 win over Marc Don (Montreal, QC). Roy won 7-1 against Scott Hill (Ormstown, QC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Experience Curling Classic Championship title, Roy earned 12.257 world rankings points along with the $1,600CDN first prize cheque, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 54th place overall with 106.598 total points. Roy ranks 36th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 59.468 points earned so far this season.
