Steeve Gagnon (Montreal, QC) lost 7-2 to Jean-Sebastien Roy (Chicoutimi, QC) in the Final of the Experience Curling Classic, held November 8 - 12, 2017 at the Baie d'Urfé Curling Club in Baie d'Urfé, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Gagnon won 7-3 over Martin Lavoie (Baie d'Urfe, QC) in the semifinals of the 2017 Experience Curling Classic in Baie d'Urfé, Quebec, Canada; and won 6-4 over Alek Bedard (Montreal, QC) in the quarterfinals.
 
Gagnon finished 1-2 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gagnon defeated Geoff Reid (Baie d'Urfe, QC) 8-2, then went on to lose 9-2 against Michael Fournier (Montreal, QC). Gagnon lost 9-6 to Mathieu Drapeau (Drummondville, QC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Experience Curling Classic, Gagnon take home 9.631 world rankings points along with the $960CDN prize, moving up 127 spots the World Ranking Standings into 204th place overall with 14.002 total points. Gagnon ranks 134th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 10.142 points earned so far this season.
