Jerry Chudley (Brandon, MB) qualified for the 2017 King Spud Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 4-3 against Kelly Marnoch (Carberry, MB). of the 2017 King Spud Classic in Carberry, Manitoba, Canada;

Chudley finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Chudley defeated Curtis McCannell (Pilot Mound, MB) 6-5, then went on to lose 6-2 against Braden Calvert (Winnipeg, MB). Chudley responded with a 6-3 win over Daley Peters (Portage la Prairie, MB). Chudley won 9-5 against Manitoba's Jordan Smith in their final qualifying round match.
