In their opening game, Cottrill/Cottrill defeated Lacie Byers/Matthew Kenlan (Charlotte, NC) 8-2, then won 13-4 against Carol McKee/David Coates (Charlotte, NC) and 8-4 against Alison Roark/Ryan Smith (Greenville, SC) in their final qualifying round match.
