Hiromitsu Fujinaka (Okajama, JPN) 6-5, then won 4-2 against Hiromitsu Kuriyama (Karuizawa, JPN). Tsukamoto went on to lose 5-2 against Shungo Nomizo (Yokohama, JPN). Tsukamoto responded with a 6-2 win over Shunto Tsuchiya (Miyota, JPN). Tsukamoto won 6-5 against Masahiko Goto (Miyota, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Minebea Mitsumi Cup Championship title, Tsukamoto earned 7.738 world rankings points along with the $1,670CDN first prize cheque, moving up 266 spots the World Ranking Standings into 240th place overall with 7.886 total points. Tsukamoto ranks 100th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 7.738 points earned so far this season.
