To advance to the championship game, Craig won 6-4 over Shane Vollman (Regina, SK) in the semifinals of the 2017 Saskatoon Nutana Cash in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada; and won 6-5 over Jason Jacobson (Saskatoon, SK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2017 Saskatoon Nutana Cash in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada;
 
Craig finished 3-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Craig lost 7-5 to Gedak, then responded with a 8-0 win over Scott Comfort (Wadena, SK). Craig won 7-6 against Rylan Kleiter (Saskatoon, SK), then won 7-2 against Ryan Deis (Fox Valley, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Saskatoon Nutana Cash Championship title, Craig earned 14.175 world rankings points along with the $2,500CDN first prize cheque, moving up 65 spots the World Ranking Standings into 124th place overall with 27.66 total points.
