Morozumi went on to lose 10-4 against Chang-Min Kim (Uiseong, KOR) in their final qualifying round match.

Morozumi earned 21.158 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. Morozumi move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 17.029 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 28th overall with 245.095 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Morozumi ranks 29th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 124.946 points earned so far this season.
