McEwen responded with a 10-1 win over Jeff Stewart (Gladstone, MB). McEwen won 10-0 against Ty Dilello (Winnipeg, MB), then won 6-3 against McNamee in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Viterra Championship Championship title, McEwen earned 31.810 world rankings points.
