Dean Dunstone (Winnipeg, MB) finished 2-6 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dunstone lost 6-2 to Robert Desjardins (Chicoutimi, QC), then responded with a 10-2 win over Ed MacDonald (Iqaluit, NU). Dunstone went on to lose 9-5 against Jamie Koe (Yellowknife, NT). Dunstone lost 8-3 to Bruce Korte (Prince Albert, SK). Dunstone lost 7-6 to Chris Ford (St.John's, NL). Dunstone lost 12-2 to Warren Cross (Avonair, AB) where Dunstone responded with a 7-5 win over Bob Smallwood (Whitehorse, YK). Dunstone went on to lose 5-4 against Dennis Watts (Charlottetown, PEI) in their final qualifying round match.
