Bruce Korte (Prince Albert, SK) finished 6-3 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Korte lost 8-4 to Warren Cross (Avonair, AB), droppimg another game, 7-4 to Jamie Koe (Yellowknife, NT) where Korte responded with a 8-3 win over Dean Dunstone (Winnipeg, MB). Korte won 8-3 against Chris Ford (St.John's, NL), then won 8-1 against Ed MacDonald (Iqaluit, NU). Korte went on to lose 5-1 against Robert Desjardins (Chicoutimi, QC). Korte responded with a 14-2 win over Dennis Watts (Charlottetown, PEI). Korte won 5-4 against Bob Smallwood (Whitehorse, YK), then won 10-4 against Tom Buchy (Kimberley, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

. For week of the event schedule, Korte did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Korte ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
