Smith responded with a 5-2 win over Jaap van Dorp (Zoetermeer, NED) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Le Gruyere European Curling Championships, Smith take home 47.683 world rankings points, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 9th place overall with 426.945 total points.
