Muirhead won 8-3 against Dilsat Yildiz (Erzurum, TUR), then won 8-4 against Anna Kubeskova (Prague, CZE). Muirhead went on to lose 9-7 against Silvana Tirinzoni (Aarau, SUI). Muirhead responded with a 9-3 win over Dorottya Palancsa (Budapest, HUN) in their final qualifying round match.
