Muirhead responded with a 9-3 win over Dorottya Palancsa (Budapest, HUN) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Le Gruyere European Curling Championships Championship title, Muirhead earned 59.910 world rankings points, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 5th place overall with 540.997 total points.
