In their opening game, Ludwar defeated Jill Winters (Nelson, BC) 8-3, then won 9-8 against Dailene Pewarchuk (Victoria, BC) and 7-6 against Patti Knezevic (Prince George, BC). Ludwar won 6-4 against Kayte Gyles (Surrey, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the BC Scotties Open Event #2 Championship title, Ludwar earned 9.975 world rankings points, moving up 132 spots the World Ranking Standings into 185th place overall with 9.975 total points. Ludwar ranks 145th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 9.975 points earned so far this season.
