In their opening game, Mallais lost 7-6 to Sylvie Robichaud (Moncton, NB), then responded with a 8-3 win over Shannon Tatlock (Moncton, NB). Mallais won 10-5 against Justine Comeau (Fredericton, NB). Mallais went on to lose 7-2 against Jennifer Armstrong (Saint John, NB) in their final qualifying round match.
