Jordan Peters (Morris, MB) lost 8-4 to JT Ryan (Winnipeg, MB) in the Final of the Manitoba Canola Junior Mens Provincials, held December 26 - 31, 2017 at the Altona Curling Club in Altona, .

Peters finished 5-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Peters defeated Brett Walter (Winnipeg, MB) 7-4, then won 7-5 against Nolan Hadway (Dauphin, MB) and 8-3 against Marc Vachon (Brandon, MB). Peters went on to lose 11-7 against Zachary Maisey (Winnipeg Beach, MB). Peters responded with a 8-7 win over Brandon Radford (Winnipeg, MB). Peters won 8-2 against Joshua Friesen (Morris, MB). Peters went on to lose 7-5 against Brayden Payette (Brandon, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

. For week 21 of the event schedule, Peters did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Peters ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
