After advancing directly to the championship game, Jestyn Murphy (Mississauga, ON) lost 7-6 to Emma Wallingford (Ottawa, ON) in the Final of the Ontario Junior Womens Provincials, held December 27 - 30, 2017 at the Annandale Curling Club in Ajax, Canada.
 
Murphy finished 6-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Murphy defeated Breanna Rozon (Dundas, ON) 9-7, then won 4-3 against Marie-Elaine Little (Ottawa, ON) and 7-1 against Rachel Steele (Port Perry, ON). Murphy went on to lose 6-1 against Mackenzie Kiemele (Toronto, ON). Murphy responded with a 6-4 win over Maddy Warriner (Listowel, ON). Murphy won 8-3 against Courtney Auld (Toronto, ON), then won 5-3 against Wallingford in their final qualifying round match.
 
. For week 21 of the event schedule, Murphy did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Murphy ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
