Shawn Vereschagin (Saskatoon, SK) lost 8-2 to Rylan Kleiter (Saskatoon, SK) in the Final of the Saskatchewan Jiffy Lube Junior Mens Provincials, held December 27 - 31, 2017 at the Caledonian Curling Club in Regina, Canada.
 
Vereschagin finished 3-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Vereschagin lost 7-4 to Brayden Stewart (Saskatoon, SK), droppimg another game, 8-6 to Daymond Bernath (Saskatoon, SK) where Vereschagin responded with a 7-5 win over Brecklin Gervais (Kronau, SK). Vereschagin won 9-1 against Travis Tokarz (Saskatoon, SK), then won 6-4 against Jayden Bindig (Wadena, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
