Liam Marin (Saint John, NB) finished 4-5 in the 14-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Marin defeated Joe Wallingham (Whitehorse, YK) 8-4, then went on to lose 7-2 against JT Ryan (Winnipeg, MB). Marin responded with a 7-4 win over Rylan Kleiter (Saskatoon, SK). Marin went on to lose 8-5 against Matthew Manuel (Halifax, NS). Marin lost 5-3 to Tyler Tardi (Langley, BC). Marin lost 9-8 to Alek Bedard (Lacolle, QC) where Marin responded with a 11-3 win over Javen Komaksiutiksak (Iqaluit, NU). Marin won 8-7 against Sawer Kaeser (Fort Smith, NT). Marin went on to lose 12-9 against Alex MacFadyen (Summerside, PEI) in their final qualifying round match.

Marin earned 2.382 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 24 of the event schedule, Marin did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Marin ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
