Wallingham lost 10-2 to JT Ryan (Winnipeg, MB) where Wallingham responded with a 6-4 win over Rylan Kleiter (Saskatoon, SK). Wallingham went on to lose 9-5 against Alex MacFadyen (Summerside, PEI). Wallingham responded with a 10-2 win over Sawer Kaeser (Fort Smith, NT). Wallingham won 7-5 against Javen Komaksiutiksak (Iqaluit, NU) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Wallingham earned 1.786 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins.
