Hess responded with a 8-3 win over Hyeonjun Hwang (Chuncheon, KOR). Hess won 9-3 against Sixten Totzek (Fuessen, GER), then won 7-4 against Zhi Yu Wang (Harbin, CHN). Hess went on to lose 10-5 against Ross Whyte (Dumfries, SCO). Hess lost 8-3 to Andrew Stopera (Blaine, USA) where Hess responded with a 7-5 win over Aleksandr Bystrov (Moscow, RUS) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Hess earned 12.597 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the World Junior Mens Curling Championship. For week 31 of the event schedule, Hess did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
