To advance to the championship game, Menard won 5-4 over Martin Ferland (Levis, QC) in the semifinals of the 2018 Challenge Assurances Jean Gamache in Quebec, Quebec, Canada; and won 5-0 over Pascal Chouinard (Quebec, QC) in the quarterfinals.
 
Menard finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Menard defeated Francois Gagne (Montreal, QC) 1-0, then won 8-6 against Benoit Gagne (Quebec, QC) and 7-2 against Chouinard in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Challenge Assurances Jean Gamache Championship title, Menard earned 12.813 world rankings points along with the $1,700CDN first prize cheque, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 36th place overall with 197.243 total points.
