Kleibrink finished 5-2 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kleibrink defeated Delia DeJong (Sexsmith, AB) 10-8, then won 6-4 against Laura Crocker (Edmonton, AB). Kleibrink went on to lose 7-5 against Carey. Kleibrink responded with a 9-8 win over Nadine Scotland (Calgary, AB). Kleibrink went on to lose 5-4 against Scheidegger. Kleibrink responded with a 6-2 win over Marla Sherrer (Lacombe, AB). Kleibrink won 10-6 against DeJong in their final qualifying round match.
