To advance to the championship game, Hasselborg won 7-6 over Victoria Moiseeva (St. Petersburg, RUS) in the semifinals of the FORD World Womens Curling Championship in North Bay, Canada;

In their opening game, Hasselborg defeated Angelina Jensen (Hvidovre, DEN) 8-2, then won 10-3 against Yilun Jiang (Harbin, CHN) and 9-1 against Diana Gaspari (Cortina d'Ampezzo, ITA). Hasselborg won 6-4 against Jamie Sinclair (Blaine, USA), then won 9-7 against EunJung Kim (Uiseong, KOR) and 8-6 against Anna Kubeskova (Prague, CZE). Hasselborg won 5-4 against Binia Feltscher (Flims, SUI), then won 8-4 against Daniela Jentsch (Fuessen, GER). Hasselborg went on to lose 8-4 against Jones. Hasselborg responded with a 6-4 win over Tori Koana (Yamanashi, JPN). Hasselborg won 9-8 against Moiseeva.
