In their opening game, Kim defeated Daniela Jentsch (Fuessen, GER) 8-3, then won 8-5 against Anna Kubeskova (Prague, CZE) and 7-5 against Angelina Jensen (Hvidovre, DEN). Kim went on to lose 9-7 against Anna Hasselborg (Stockholm, SWE). Kim responded with a 8-7 win over Diana Gaspari (Cortina d'Ampezzo, ITA). Kim won 12-3 against Yilun Jiang (Harbin, CHN), then won 9-8 against Sinclair. Kim went on to lose 8-4 against Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, CAN). Kim lost 8-6 to Binia Feltscher (Flims, SUI) where Kim responded with a 9-5 win over Tori Koana (Yamanashi, JPN). Kim won 8-7 against Victoria Moiseeva (St. Petersburg, RUS). Kim went on to lose 6-5 against Hannah Fleming (Lockerbie, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
Kim earned 30.326 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the FORD World Womens Curling Championship. Kim move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 28.344 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 13th overall with 443.753 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
