Dylan Johnston (Thunder Bay, NONT) finished 4-0 in the 5-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Johnston defeated Jordan Chandler (Sudbury, NONT) 6-5, then won 6-3 against Colin Koivula (Thunder Bay, NONT) and 6-0 against Cody Tetreault (Sault Ste Marie, NONT). Johnston won 8-0 against Nathan Lohnes (Thunder Bay, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Northern Ontario Mens West Qualifier Championship title, Johnston earned 5.250 world rankings points. For week 22 of the event schedule, Johnston did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Johnston ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
