Mark Kean (Woodstock, ON) finished 4-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kean defeated Rob Ainsley (Toronto, ON) 10-8, then won 8-6 against Dayna Deruelle (Brampton, ON). Kean went on to lose 8-1 against Greg Balsdon (Kingston, ON). Kean responded with a 8-2 win over Spencer Richmond (Ottawa, ON). Kean won 9-5 against Deruelle in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Dairy Farmers of Ontario Tankard - Qualifier A, Kean take home 14.919 world rankings points.
