Wayne Tallon (Fredericton, NB) finished 5-2 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tallon defeated Adam MacDonald (Woodstock, NB) 6-2, then won 7-5 against Scott Jones (Moncton, NB). Tallon went on to lose 9-0 against Terry Odishaw (Moncton, NB). Tallon responded with a 8-5 win over Alex Robichaud (Fredericton, NB). Tallon won 7-6 against Charlie Sullivan (Saint John, NB). Tallon went on to lose 7-3 against James Grattan (Oromocto, NB). Tallon responded with a 5-4 win over Robichaud in their final qualifying round match.

Tallon earned 11.305 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the New Brunswick Tankard Prelims. For week 24 of the event schedule, Tallon did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
