Cory Heggestad (Stroud, ON) finished 3-3 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Heggestad defeated Brandon Tippin (Owen Sound, ON) 7-1, then won 6-3 against Wayne Tuck Jr. (Brantford, ON) and 7-5 against Gary Grant (Lindsay, ON). Heggestad went on to lose 6-4 against Richard Krell (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON). Heggestad lost 7-6 to Joe Frans (Oakville, ON). Heggestad lost 1-0 to Tuck Jr. in their final qualifying round match.
