Nicholas Connolly (Seattle, WA) run at the 2018 USA Junior Mens National Championship came to an end in the semifinals with a 8-4 loss to Trevor Marquardt (Poynette, WI). of the 2018 USA Junior Mens National Championship in Ferndale, Michigan, United States;
 
Connolly finished 7-2 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Connolly lost 8-2 to Timothy Hodek (Fairdale, ND), droppimg another game, 9-2 to Andrew Stopera (Briarcliff Manor, NY) where Connolly responded with a 5-4 win over Wesley Wendling (Wausau, WI). Connolly won 8-2 against Andrew McDonald (Hudson, OH), then won 8-4 against Riley Fenson (Bemidji, MN) and 8-3 against Jack Clasen (Roseville, MN). Connolly won 8-2 against Josh Moore (Mapleton, MN), then won 6-3 against Kevin Tuma (St. Paul, MN) and 9-6 against Marquardt in their final qualifying round match.
 
Connolly earned 8.661 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the USA Junior Mens National Championship. For week 26 of the event schedule, Connolly did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Connolly ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
