James Grattan (Oromocto, NB) won 10-4 over Terry Odishaw (Moncton, NB) in the Final of the Papa Johns New Brunswick Tankard, held February 7 - 11, 2018 at the Miramichi Curling Club in Miramichi, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Grattan won 7-2 over Jeremy Mallais (Saint John, NB) in the semifinals of the 2018 Papa Johns New Brunswick Tankard in Miramichi, New Brunswick, Canada;
 
Grattan finished 4-3 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Grattan defeated Marcel Robichaud (Moncton, NB) 9-2, then won 11-7 against Ryan Cain (Fredericton, NB). Grattan went on to lose 7-3 against Mallais. Grattan responded with a 8-2 win over Charlie Sullivan (Saint John, NB). Grattan won 7-4 against Scott Jones (Moncton, NB). Grattan went on to lose 7-4 against Wayne Tallon (Fredericton, NB). Grattan lost 6-5 to Odishaw in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Papa Johns New Brunswick Tankard Championship title, Grattan earned 6.825 world rankings points. For week 27 of the event schedule, Grattan did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Grattan ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
