Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, NONT) won 6-5 over Tanner Horgan (Sudbury, NONT) in the Final of the Travelers Northern Ontario Mens Championship, held February 7 - 11, 2017 in Little Current, Ontario. To advance to the championship game, Jacobs won 5-3 over Jordan Chandler (Sudbury, NONT) in the semifinals of the 2018 Travelers Northern Ontario Mens Championship in Little Current, Ontario;

Jacobs finished 5-2 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jacobs defeated Colin Koivula (Thunder Bay, NONT) 6-4, then won 8-2 against Charlie Robert (Sault Ste Marie, NONT) and 7-3 against Matt Dumontelle (North Bay, NONT). Jacobs won 7-6 against Chandler. Jacobs went on to lose 7-3 against Horgan. Jacobs lost 6-5 to Dylan Johnston (Thunder Bay, NONT) where Jacobs responded with a 8-5 win over Dustin Montpellier (Copper Cliff, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Travelers Northern Ontario Mens Championship Championship title, Jacobs earned 12.705 world rankings points. For week 27 of the event schedule, Jacobs did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Jacobs ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
