Drummond went on to lose 7-5 against Yannick Schwaller (Bern, SUI). Drummond responded with a 10-3 win over Andrew Stopera (Chicago, IL). Drummond won 7-4 against Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR), then won 4-3 against Kristian Lindstroem (Lit, SWE) and 9-8 against Rui Liu (Harbin, CHN) in their final qualifying round match.
