Hess finished 4-5 in the 6-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hess lost 10-4 to Yannick Schwaller (Bern, SUI), then responded with a 8-7 win over Lucien Lottenbach (Luzern, SUI). Hess won 8-7 against Pfister. Hess went on to lose 9-3 against Jan Hess (Zug, SUI). Hess responded with a 6-5 win over Felix Attinger (Dubendorf, SUI). Hess went on to lose 11-5 against Attinger. Hess lost 10-5 to Pfister where Hess responded with a 8-6 win over Hess. Hess went on to lose 9-2 against Lottenbach in their final qualifying round match.
 
Hess earned 10.296 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Swiss Curling Championship, moving up 11 spots the World Ranking Standings into 89th place overall with 73.287 total points. Hess ranks 85th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 44.697 points earned so far this season.
