Cameron McNay (Edinburgh, SCO) finished 5-4 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McNay defeated Greg Drummond (Stirling, SCO) 7-6, then won 9-7 against Graham Shaw (Perth, SCO). McNay went on to lose 6-5 against Bruce Mouat (Edinburgh, SCO). McNay lost 10-8 to Callum Kinnear (Perth, SCO) where McNay responded with a 8-2 win over Stuart Taylor (Glawgow, SCO). McNay went on to lose 5-3 against Fraser Hare (Stranraer, SCO). McNay lost 10-4 to Cameron Bryce (Borders, SCO) where McNay responded with a 8-3 win over Tom Brewster (Aberdeen, SCO). McNay won 7-4 against Murray Young (Forfar, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.

McNay earned 5.743 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 28 of the event schedule, McNay did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. McNay ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
