Sophie Jackson (Dumfries, SCO) lost 7-6 to Hannah Fleming (Lockerbie, SCO) in the Final of the Scottish Curling Championships, held February 10 - 17, 2018 at the Perth Curling Club in Perth, Scotland. To advance to the championship game, Jackson won 7-4 over Claire Hamilton (Dumfries, SCO) in the semifinals of the 2018 Scottish Curling Championships in Perth, Scotland, Scotland;
 
Jackson finished 6-2 in the 5-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jackson defeated Hamilton 9-1, then won 6-5 against Rebecca Morrison (Aberdeen, SCO). Jackson went on to lose 5-3 against Fleming. Jackson lost 8-6 to Maggie Wilson (Aberdeen, SCO) where Jackson responded with a 7-4 win over Hamilton. Jackson won 8-5 against Morrison, then won 7-5 against Fleming and 9-1 against Wilson in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Scottish Curling Championships, Jackson take home 9.405 world rankings points. For week 28 of the event schedule, Jackson did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Jackson ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
