To advance to the championship game, Porter won 8-3 over Alex Peasley (Fredericton, NB) in the semifinals of the 2018 New Brunswick CWG Mens Finals in Fredericton, New Brunswick;
 
Porter finished 3-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Porter lost 6-3 to Peasley, droppimg another game, 7-5 to Riley Dowden (Fredericton, NB) where Porter responded with a 7-4 win over Jamie Stewart (Saint John, NB). Porter won 7-3 against Peasley, then won 5-3 against Dowden in their final qualifying round match.
