Bendik Ramsfjell (Jar, NOR) won 6-5 over Steffen R. Mellemseter (Oppdal, NOR) in the Final of the Norway Cup 1, held September 22 - 24, 2017 in Jar, Norway. To advance to the championship game, Ramsfjell won 7-3 over Johan Hostmaehlingen (Lillehammer, NOR) in the semifinals of the 2017 Norway Cup 1 in Jar, Norway; and won 8-3 over Stig-Arne Gunnestad (Oslo, NOR) in the quarterfinals.
 
Ramsfjell finished 4-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ramsfjell defeated Gunnestad 10-3, then won 9-3 against Jan Marcus Lilledal (Halden, NOR). Ramsfjell went on to lose 6-4 against Evan Ugland (Kristiansand, NOR). Ramsfjell responded with a 8-1 win over Kristin Moen Skaslien (Oslo, NOR). Ramsfjell won 6-3 against Odd Arne Vage (Sormarka, NOR) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Norway Cup 1 Championship title, Ramsfjell earned 8.142 world rankings points along with the $1,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 58 spots the World Ranking Standings into 151st place overall with 16.543 total points. Ramsfjell ranks 63rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 8.142 points earned so far this season.
