Steffen Walstad (Oppdal, NOR) won 6-4 over Steffen R. Mellemseter (Oppdal, NOR) in the Final of the Norway Cup 2, held November 10 - 12, 2017 in Oppdal, Norway. To advance to the championship game, Walstad won 6-4 over Bendik Ramsfjell (Jar, NOR) in the semifinals of the 2017 Norway Cup 2 in Oppdal, Norway; and won 6-1 over Gaute Nepstad (Lillehammer, NOR) in the quarterfinals. of the 2017 Norway Cup 2 in Oppdal, Norway;

Walstad finished 3-0 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Walstad defeated Eirin Mesloe (Oppdal, NOR) 10-3, then won 10-3 against Jenn Cunningham (Oslo, NOR) and 9-7 against Nepstad in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Norway Cup 2 Championship title, Walstad earned 11.510 world rankings points along with the $1,000CDN first prize cheque, dropping 1 spots on the World Ranking Standings into 15th place overall with 320.75 total points. Walstad ranks 10th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 145.222 points earned so far this season.
