To advance to the championship game, Mellemseter won 6-4 over Magnus Ramsfjell (Oslo, NOR) in the semifinals of the 2017 Norway Cup 2 in Oppdal, Norway; and won 3-1 over Rune Hindseth (Oppdal, NOR) in the quarterfinals. of the 2017 Norway Cup 2 in Oppdal, Norway;
