To advance to the championship game, Sahaidak/Lott won 7-4 over Chelsea Carey/Colin Hodgson (Calgary, AB) in the semifinals of the 2018 Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Championship in Leduc, Alberta; and won 9-6 over Kalynn Park/Charley Thomas (Calgary, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2018 Canadian Mixed Doubles Curling Championship in Leduc, Alberta;
 
Sahaidak/Lott finished 7-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sahaidak/Lott defeated Katie Cottrill/Shawn Cottrill (Listowel, ON) 8-5, then won 6-5 against Ashley Groff/Kyle Doering (Winnipeg, MB) and 8-2 against Theresa Cannon/Jason Gunnlaugson (Winnipeg, MB). Sahaidak/Lott won 11-7 against Roxane Perron/Jesse Mullen (Montreal, QC), then won 7-3 against Carey/Hodgson and 8-2 against Jody Smallwood/Bob Smallwood (Whitehorse, YK). Sahaidak/Lott won 5-4 against Amanda Gates/Trevor Bonot (Sudbury, NONT) in their final qualifying round match.
