Champ responded with a 7-4 win over Jack Smeltzer (Fredericton, NB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Champ earned 0.619 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins, moving up 12 spots the World Ranking Standings into 359th place overall with 6.426 total points. Champ ranks 478th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 0.619 points earned so far this season.
