To advance to the championship game, Smith won 9-0 over Tanya Hilliard (Dartmouth, NS) in the semifinals
 
Smith finished 2-2 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Smith lost 5-4 to Mary Myketyn-Driscoll (Halifax, NS), then responded with a 7-4 win over Colleen Jones (Halifax, NS). Smith went on to lose 6-5 against Kristen MacDiarmid (Halifax, NS). Smith responded with a 7-3 win over Julie McEvoy (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.
