Jayne Stirling (Stirling, SCO) finished 6-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Stirling defeated
Elana Sone (Metulla, ISR) 12-1, then won 10-3 against Daniela Matulova (Bratislava, SVK) and 6-2 against Sandrine Morand (Megeve, FRA). Stirling went on to lose 8-6 against Camilla Noreen (Gavle, SWE). Stirling responded with a 12-1 win over Hong Kong's Ling-Yue Hung. Stirling won 8-5 against Irantzu Garcia (Vitoria-Gasteiz, ESP), then won 8-5 against Yi Wei Fu (Harbin, CHN) in their final qualifying round match.
