Gushue won 9-2 against Stuart Thompson (Dartmouth, NS), then won 11-2 against Dave St. Louis (Iqaluit, NU) and 6-3 against Mike McEwen (West St. Paul, MB). Gushue won 6-4 against Kirk Muyres (Saskatoon, SK). Gushue went on to lose 7-6 against Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, ON). Gushue responded with a 8-5 win over Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Gushue earned 30.011 world rankings points for their Top 4 finish in the Tim Hortons Brier, remaining in 7th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 5.88 after improving upon their best so far this season. Gushue ranks 7th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 327.301 points earned so far this season.
